Business owners and local entrepreneurs in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, have an opportunity to learn more about the support available to them during an upcoming information session. The Bridgewater & Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Discover Your Chamber event on the morning of April 30, 2026.
The session will take place upstairs at the Michelin Social & Athletic Club, located at 221 Logan Road. Organizers are encouraging anyone interested in the local business community to attend, whether they are current members, new to the area, or simply looking to understand how the Chamber can support their professional goals.
The event is designed to explain the various benefits of membership, which include networking opportunities, advocacy at all levels of government, and educational workshops. Members also gain access to cost-saving programs, such as group insurance, fuel savings through Irving, and shipping discounts with Freightcom, alongside exposure in the organization’s member directory.
Led by Executive Director Jill Cooper and President Shawn Patterson, the Chamber serves the region often referred to as the Main Street of the South Shore. This latest session continues the organization’s efforts to connect with the local business community, following a similar welcome event held in February 2025.
For those looking to engage with local leaders throughout the spring, the Chamber also has a busy calendar. This includes the Annual Mayor’s Breakfast taking place on April 23, 2026, which will feature Bridgewater Mayor David Mitchell and Mayor Elspeth McLean-Wile of the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg.
