Bridgewater homeowners with a household income of $35,000 or less can now apply for the town’s Low-Income Residential Property Tax Exemption for the 2026-27 fiscal year.
The application deadline is August 31, 2026. After that date, applications will not be considered until the following year.
Forms are available at the Town Hall front desk at 60 Pleasant Street, or can be downloaded from the town website. Town Hall is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through the end of August.
The program is funded with $70,000 in this year’s budget and is governed by Town Policy 57. To qualify, the total income from Line 15000 of the Canada Revenue Agency Notice of Assessment for every resident over 18 on the property must be $35,000 or less.
