Residents in Bridgewater and the surrounding region have an opportunity to participate in local government planning at an upcoming meeting of the Regional Growth Management Committee. The committee will gather on April 14, 2026, to discuss shared planning and development goals between the town and its neighbours.
The meeting is set to take place at the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg office, located at 10 Allee Champlain Drive in Cookville. The session will begin at 3:00 PM and is open to the public.
The committee serves as an advisory body for the Town of Bridgewater and the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg. Its primary goal is to provide recommendations to both municipal councils on how to better coordinate growth, land use, and infrastructure projects across the region.
To ensure accessibility for residents of both communities, the committee rotates its meeting locations between the Municipal Services Building in Cookville and the Town of Bridgewater office at 60 Pleasant Street. These meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every second month as part of a collaborative effort running through June 2026.
