Residents in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, are reminded that there will be no bus service this Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026. The Town of Bridgewater has confirmed that transit service will pause for the holiday, as part of its official operational schedule.
While buses will not run on Sunday, service will resume on Easter Monday. On that day, Bridgewater Transit will operate on a reduced holiday schedule from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Passengers who rely on the bus for travel during the holiday weekend are encouraged to plan their trips in advance.
To help with planning, riders can check real-time bus locations by using the Transit Tracker tool available on the town website or through the official Town of Bridgewater app. The transit system serves as a fixed-route, one-hour loop with 25 designated stops and a flag stop system that allows riders to board at various points along the route.
Since its launch in 2017, Bridgewater Transit has grown to become a core service for the community, providing nearly 200,000 rides to date. For more information on schedules and holiday updates, residents can visit the town website.
