Youth in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, have a new opportunity to explore their artistic side this spring with the launch of the Creative Crew program. The DesBrisay Museum is partnering with the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre to offer the five-week craft workshop series for children between the ages of 8 and 13.
Led by instructor Amber Thompson, the program invites young participants to engage in various creative activities and art projects. The sessions will run every Tuesday from April 21 through May 19, 2026, taking place from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The cost for the full five-week program is $100 per child. Families interested in signing up can register through the Connect2Rec.com website. Registration is also available in person at the lifestyle centre located at 135 North Park Street in Bridgewater, or by calling 902-530-4100.
This initiative continues the museum’s tradition of offering community programming. The DesBrisay Museum, which serves as a hub for heritage and culture in the region, houses a significant historical collection that dates back to 1870. The program will be hosted in collaboration with the lifestyle centre, a multi-purpose recreation facility that serves residents through various sports and community services.
