Residents in Bridgewater will have the opportunity to watch or participate in a canine sports competition on May 10, 2026, as Gale Force Disc Dogs hosts an indoor event at the HB Studios Sports Centre.
The competition, held at 543 Glen Allan Drive, follows the UpDog Challenge format. This framework features a variety of games including Freestyle, ThrowNGo, Boom!, and FireBall. These activities are designed to be inclusive, allowing dogs of any breed, size, or age to participate. Organizers note that if a dog can fetch, it is capable of participating in the sport.
The event will take place on the facility’s 100ft by 200ft indoor artificial turf field. The HB Studios Sports Centre is a community recreation facility owned and operated by the South Shore Fieldhouse Society.
Gale Force Disc Dogs has been organizing these competitions in Nova Scotia since 2022. According to the Disc Dogs Maritime resource hub, the event is confirmed on the 2026 season schedule.
