The Town of Bridgewater has announced that the Harvest Moon Music Festival will return to the community for its fifth year, offering three nights of free live outdoor music this September. The festival will take place from September 17 to September 19, 2026, at Pijinuiskaq Park.
This year marks an expansion of the event, which previously ran over two nights. The festival is presented through a partnership between the town and Arby’s Bridgewater, which is currently the only location of the restaurant in Nova Scotia.
Pijinuiskaq Park, located on King Street along the LaHave River, serves as the venue for the performances. The park opened on June 30, 2017, as the final piece of the 5 million dollar Take Back The Riverbank project, which transformed a former parkade site into public waterfront space. The park’s name is the traditional Mi’kmaq term for the LaHave River, meaning river of long joints or river branches.
The festival began in 2022 and has become a staple of the local fall calendar. Last year’s event featured a variety of performers, including headliner Joel Plaskett, alongside artists such as Christina Martin, Steven Dicks, Danny Pink, The Lamplighters, and Cut, Split & Delivered. Organizers are currently finalizing the lineup for the 2026 event.
