The Arts Burlington Spring Sale of Creative Art returns to the Art Gallery of Burlington for its 54th year next weekend. On April 18 and April 19, 2026, residents can view and purchase original works from over 100 local artists and craftspeople.
The two-day event takes place from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on both days at the gallery located at 1333 Lakeshore Road. Both admission and parking are free for all attendees.
Visitors to the sale will find a wide variety of handmade items, including pottery, photography, fine art, mixed media, sculpture, and wood craft. Pieces featuring weaving, spinning, and hooking craft will also be available. The items are produced by members of the six artist guilds that make up Arts Burlington, an umbrella organization that coordinates creative activities at the gallery.
The participating groups include the Burlington Potters’ Guild, Burlington Fine Arts Association, Burlington Rug Hooking Craft Guild, Burlington Sculptors and Carvers Guild, Latow Photographers Guild, and the Burlington Handweavers and Spinners Guild. The sale is promoted by the Burlington Downtown Business Improvement Area, which supports the local business community along the waterfront of Lake Ontario.
Arts Burlington was officially formed in 1972 to unify the various local artist guilds, though its roots in the community date back to 1958. Today, the organization continues its goal of enriching life in the community through the support and promotion of local arts and crafts.
