Students from the Halton District School Board will take the stage in Burlington, Ontario, on April 29, 2026, for a talent showcase to help classmates in need. The Students in the Spotlight event at Burlington Central High School will raise money for the Halton Learning Foundation to help students who face financial hurdles at school.
The evening will feature performances in music, dance, and spoken word. This year, the event is growing to include a new art exhibition where guests can view student paintings and projects alongside the live stage acts.
Money raised from the show goes toward helping families with the cost of school supplies and emergency needs. Research from the foundation shows that about one in eight students in the region deals with financial challenges that can make it harder for them to succeed in the classroom.
The foundation works to ensure no student is left behind because they cannot afford basic items for their education. Community members can support the cause by purchasing tickets for the event through the foundation’s website.
