A Halton Regional Police officer stopped a car at a Burlington gas station early on June 3, 2026 and found two loaded handguns and a variety of drugs, leading to 20 charges against a man from Etobicoke.
The officer pulled over the vehicle at the Petro Canada at Walkers Line and Harvester Road around 4:00 a.m. The lone driver was wearing a face covering, which prompted a closer look, according to Halton Regional Police.
Leslie Prince, 46, now faces charges that include operation while impaired, four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and multiple firearms offences. Police seized two loaded handguns: a Glock 9mm with a magazine holding nine rounds and a Glock .40 calibre with a magazine loaded with an additional 14 rounds. A separate Glock 9mm magazine with 8 rounds of ammunition was also seized.
After searching the vehicle, officers also found roughly 50 grams of crack cocaine, 150 oxycodone pills, 150 Xanax pills, and 40 hydromorphone pills.
The arrest comes just over two weeks after Halton police announced Project Cyprus, the largest firearms seizure in the service’s history. On May 19, 2026, police revealed they had taken 24 handguns and more than $1 million in drugs and cash off the streets after a six-month investigation.
