Non-profit and volunteer-based groups in Camrose, Alberta, can now apply for grants of up to $1,200 to help celebrate the people who give their time to the community. These applications must be submitted by March 23, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. MST.
The money comes from the National Volunteer Week Enhancement Funding, which is provided by the Government of Alberta and distributed by Volunteer Alberta. This year, the program offers two funding tiers: $600 for Host Sites and $1,200 for Feature Sites. These grants are meant to help local organizations host celebrations or provide tokens of appreciation for their volunteers.
This initiative is timed for National Volunteer Week, which takes place from April 19 to April 25, 2026. By providing these grants, the province aims to make sure that the people who contribute their effort to community initiatives feel appreciated and remain engaged for the year ahead.
Local groups can use the funding to reward the individuals who power their services and keep them running. More information about eligibility and the application process is available through Volunteer Alberta or the ALIGN Association of Community Services.
