The Camrose Kodiaks moved ahead 2-0 in their playoff series after a 2-0 shutout win against the Drumheller Dragons on March 21, 2026. The team from Camrose, Alberta, won the first two games of the series on the road and will now return home to continue the AJHL post-season.
The Kodiaks’ victory was anchored by goaltender Carter Capton, who stopped every shot he faced to secure the shutout and prevent the Dragons from scoring. Forward Liam Payne and the Kodiaks’ offense provided the necessary scoring to secure the win.
The Kodiaks entered the playoffs as the third-place seed in the division after finishing the regular season with 59 points. The Dragons finished in second place with 63 points, which originally gave them the advantage of hosting the start of the series in their own arena.
The Kodiaks have a long history of playoff appearances, having qualified for the post-season in every season except for their inaugural year in 1997. The upcoming games in the best-of-seven series will be held at the EnCana Arena in Camrose.
