Tuesday will be mainly sunny with a high of 26°C, but there is a 30 percent chance of showers late in the day. Wednesday is expected to be cloudy with a high of 23°C, before sunshine returns Thursday and Friday with highs reaching 29°C. The weekend looks sunny and warm with highs of 28°C both Saturday and Sunday.
Residents are advised to use sun protection on Monday and Tuesday as the UV index is rated high at 7. Overnight lows will be comfortably cool, dipping to around 9°C, which is typical for this time of year.
Air quality may be a concern at times this week due to wildfire smoke drifting in from northern Saskatchewan and Manitoba. While conditions have improved since Sunday, Environment Canada meteorologist Brian Proctor noted that smoke patterns can shift quickly, and drier conditions in British Columbia could bring more haze into Alberta if fires flare up again. For now, no air quality alerts are in effect for Camrose.
