By early Monday afternoon, conditions in Carberry were calm at 19.9 degrees C with northeast winds at 10 km/h and humidity at 62 percent. No weather alerts were in effect at that time.
A severe thunderstorm risk has also been reported for parts of Manitoba and northwestern Ontario, with forecasters warning of damaging winds, large hail, heavy rain and the possible development of rotating storms. Residents in affected areas are encouraged to monitor watches and warnings for the latest details.
After Monday’s unsettled weather, the forecast takes a sharp turn toward summer warmth. Tuesday will bring mainly sunny skies and a high of 24 degrees C. The normal August high for Carberry is 24 degrees C, so Thursday’s temperature will run about four degrees above average.
