The Chestermere Fine Art Guild is adding several new evening classes and planning sessions to its April 2026 calendar for residents in Chestermere, Alberta. These programs aim to help local artists develop their skills and prepare for the community’s upcoming spring art exhibition.
Two specialized evening workshops will be held on Mondays at 7:00 PM at the Chestermere Recreation Centre. A class on acrylic painting called Acrylic Hues & Concepts is set for April 6, 2026, and a facial illustration workshop titled Let’s Face It! Facial Illustration will take place on April 20, 2026.
The guild will also continue its regular Afternoon Art sessions every Thursday throughout the month. These drop-in meetings happen on April 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30 at the recreation centre. While most sessions begin at 1:00 PM, the April 16 meeting will start at 2:00 PM.
To prepare for the annual spring show, the organization has scheduled two planning meetings: one on April 16 at 1:00 PM and another on April 27, 2026, at 7:00 PM. Local artists can also find work and greeting cards from guild members available for sale at The Vault Cultural Collective in Strathmore throughout the year.
