The Collingwood Public Library is currently accepting applications from local artists interested in showcasing their work in the library’s gallery spaces for 2027. Artists of all skill levels are encouraged to apply, with exhibition dates beginning in March 2027.
Submissions will be reviewed by the library’s Arts Advisory Council to determine the lineup for the coming year. The library features three specific areas for exhibitions: the Williams/Westcott Art Walk, the Bridge Gallery, and the Free Schools World Literacy Community Room.
For those interested in displaying their work, there is a fee structure in place. Exhibitions in the central gallery spaces cost $50 per month, plus a 30% commission on any sales. The Free Schools gallery space does not charge a rental fee, though a 30% commission on sales still applies. The library board has the authority to waive these costs for non-profit exhibitions.
Artists can pick up application forms at the library’s public services desk at 55 Ste. Marie Street, or they can download the Art Exhibit Application online. Any questions regarding the application process can be directed to Leigh Ann Epp, the library’s public relations coordinator, by email at [email protected] or by calling 705-445-1571 extension 6241.
The library is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Please note that the library is closed on Sundays during July and August.
