Young gamers in Collingwood are invited to showcase their skills as part of the regional Game On! World Cup Esports Tournament. The Town of Collingwood is partnering with the City of Barrie and several other Simcoe County municipalities to host this free gaming competition for youth aged 14 to 24.
The tournament, hosted virtually by We Got Game, focuses on the FIFA/EA Sports FC game. Interested participants must register by May 22, 2026. Because space is limited, each municipality is capping registration at 96 participants, with any additional players placed on a waitlist.
Following the registration deadline, online qualifying rounds will take place from May 29 to June 1, 2026. The top-performing players from Collingwood will advance to the in-person regional finals, which are held on June 26, 2026, at the Five Points Theatre in Barrie. During this final event, participants will compete in a 2v2 format using PlayStation 5 consoles.
