The City of Colwood, British Columbia, has added several new community events to its public calendar for the spring of 2026, offering residents local entertainment and educational sessions. Starting on March 31, 2026, the city will host a variety of activities ranging from movie nights to regional meetings for seniors.
The Citizens’ Environmental Network in Colwood is partnering with the city to host a movie night on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. This volunteer-led group will present a screening of “The Lorax” to encourage environmental awareness in the community.
The spring event list also includes a speaker series that focuses on practical topics like gardening and food. Residents can attend sessions that teach skills such as container gardening, which helps people grow their own produce at home.
On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, the city will host the Westshore and Sooke Seniors Services Collaboration Summit. This event brings together people and organizations from across the region to help coordinate important services for older adults.
These activities are open to residents of Colwood and neighbouring areas, including View Royal, Langford, Metchosin, Highlands, and Sooke. The sessions provide an opportunity for locals to learn new skills and meet with others in the community.
