Youth athletes from Dauphin, Manitoba, are currently taking part in the 2026 Manitoba Winter Games in Thompson. The provincial multi-sport event began on March 1, 2026, and is running through March 7, 2026.
According to Sport Manitoba, the competition features more than 1,500 athletes, coaches, and officials. The games, which are officially supported by Manitoba Hydro, serve as a way for young people to compete at a high level with peers from across the province.
As of March 4, 2026, the Manitoba Games are in the middle of the week’s competition. This year’s event marks a return to Thompson, a city that previously hosted the provincial competition in 1994 and 2018.
