The Mountain View School Division is inviting residents of Dauphin, Manitoba, to attend a Graduation Powwow on May 21, 2026. The event will take place at the Selo Ukraina site, located 12 kilometres south of the city, to celebrate local students as they transition to the next stage of their lives.
Organizers are providing a free community bus to help residents get to the venue, with pickups available at the Dauphin Friendship Centre and the Dauphin Mall. Attendees will also be served a traditional feast lunch during the event.
To ensure there is enough food and transportation for everyone, the school division is asking those who plan to attend to register by Friday, May 8, 2026. Community members can complete the registration process through the official school division website.
The event is held on Treaty 2 and Treaty 4 lands, which are the original territories of the Anishinaabek, Ininiwak, and Dakota peoples, as well as the homeland of the Red River Métis Nation. This graduation celebration continues a tradition of honoring students that has been observed by the school division for several years.
