Dauphin’s Countryfest has added three new acts to its opening night lineup for Thursday, June 25. Wet Towels, Revolving Doors, and Red Lemon will join the festival’s Rockin’ Thursday Kickoff Party at Selo Ukraina, just south of Dauphin, Manitoba.
The late additions join previously announced performers for opening night, including Canadian rocker JJ Wilde along with Leddwyn and The Haileys. The festival is in its 37th year and runs from June 25 to 28.
The event is Canada’s longest-running country music festival, bringing big-name acts and local talent to the natural amphitheatre near Riding Mountain National Park each summer. This year’s lineup includes international headliners like Jelly Roll, Nate Smith, and Tyler Hubbard.
Countryfest is a major economic driver for the region, generating an estimated $9.7 million in economic impact each year. Since 1990, the festival has donated more than $4.5 million back into the community.
