The Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Community Development Corporation (THCDC) is seeking bids from local contractors to operate and maintain the Yukon River Campground for the 2026 season. This opportunity offers qualified contractors a chance to manage the facility, located just across the river from Dawson City.
The successful bidder will oversee the 102-site facility from May 11 to October 2, 2026. This period covers the busy summer months, including the annual Dawson City Music Festival in late July, which draws significant tourism to the area at the start of the Top of the World Highway.
Those interested in the contract must provide their own equipment, tools, and labour. Key responsibilities for the operator include daily maintenance, cleaning facilities and campsites, stocking firewood, reporting incidents, and delivering information on behalf of the Yukon Government Parks Branch. Bidders are also required to submit a health and safety plan before the contract begins.
