The Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Government is now looking for performing artists to take part in the 2026 Moosehide Gathering near Dawson City, Yukon. This major cultural event is set for July 30 to August 3, 2026, and brings people together to celebrate Indigenous traditions and community healing.
The gathering takes place at Moosehide Village, which is a traditional site located about three kilometres downriver from Dawson City. Visitors and participants can access the village by boat or by using the local trail.
The event is a central part of cultural preservation for the Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in and the broader community. It serves as a space for sharing the Hän language and honouring ancestral traditions through singing, dancing, and storytelling.
Performing artists who want to showcase their talent during the event are encouraged to apply for a spot in the lineup. The government is seeking a variety of performers to help highlight Indigenous arts and support the community celebration.
