The award-winning Indigenous hip-hop duo Snotty Nose Rez Kids will perform in Dawson City on April 29, 2026, marking one of the first major live music events of the spring season. The concert, which is open to all ages, will be held at the Klondike Institute of Art and Culture ballroom, also known as Dënäkär Zho, at 902 Second Avenue.
The duo, consisting of rappers Darren Young D Metz and Quinton Yung Trybez Nyce, hails from the Haisla Nation in Kitamaat Village, British Columbia. The pair gained national recognition last year when they became the first Indigenous artists to win the Juno Award for Rap Album or EP of the Year for their project titled Red Future.
The upcoming Dawson City performance is part of a larger West Coast tour. This event is co-presented by the Dawson City Music Festival and the Yukon Arts Centre. The show is alcohol-free, with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. and the music starting at 8:00 p.m.
Financial support for the event is provided by the Canada Council for the Arts, the Government of Canada, and the Yukon Government. Additional local sponsorship has been provided by Northern Vision Development and the Downtown Hotel.
