A community Easter market is coming to Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, on March 28 and March 29, 2026. The event was announced by the local community group New Fort Sask Informed and will feature a variety of local vendors for residents to visit.
The market is scheduled for the Landing Trail area, which is associated with the Athabasca Landing Trail network. This trail system runs through the downtown river valley and is adjacent to Legacy Park, a 7.5-acre green space that the City of Fort Saskatchewan uses as its main spot for outdoor community events and entertainment. While specific venue details for the market have not been officially confirmed, the trail area serves as a central hub for community activity.
Fort Saskatchewan has a history of planning seasonal markets to support local businesses and bring neighbours together. For instance, a 2020 Easter market was scheduled to feature more than 30 local vendors, crafts, and photos with the Easter bunny, though the event was ultimately cancelled due to pandemic restrictions.
This weekend’s event is one of several markets planned for the city this spring. The Fort Saskatchewan & Lamont County Regional Chamber of Commerce is also preparing for a Spring Farmers’ Market, which will take place on April 18, 2026.
