Students at Fort Saskatchewan High School in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, can now apply for three specialized trade apprenticeships for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Dow Chemical is offering these positions to help local youth gain hands-on experience in the community.
The available roles are in the instrumentation, millwright, and electrician trades. Interviews for the placements are being held from May 11 to May 14, 2026, to select the successful student candidates.
Through the Registered Apprenticeship Program, students earn high school credits while also counting their work hours toward becoming a certified journeyperson. This allows them to start their career training while they are still in school.
Mrs. Small is the primary contact at the high school for students who want to learn more about the application process. These roles support the workforce needed for the ongoing Path2Zero project, which is a major expansion of the local industrial site.
