Families in Grimsby, Ontario, are invited to celebrate the spring season during the annual Hoppin’ Around Downtown event, which returns to the community on Saturday, April 4, 2026.
The free community event will take place in the Grimsby Community Courtyard, located between Harmony Jewellers and The Marketplace, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Organized by the Grimsby Downtown Improvement Area, the day is designed to encourage residents to explore downtown shops while participating in holiday-themed activities.
Children and their parents can enjoy a variety of entertainment, including a bouncy castle, face painting, cookie decorating, and giant games. The event will also feature an Easter Egg Hunt at participating downtown businesses, along with a meet and greet opportunity with the Easter Bunny.
This year’s festivities are supported by local sponsors, including The Dog Spot Grimsby and M&M Food Market. The event is part of the local merchants’ ongoing commitment to the promotion, beautification, and revitalization of the downtown core.
