On March 13, 2026, the Niagara Regional Police Service arrested a sixth person in connection with a shooting that happened in Grimsby, Ontario. This latest arrest follows a long investigation into an incident from September 2025 where a man was shot and injured.
Police arrested 27-year-old Bellaluddin Shahabuddin of Thorold and charged him for his alleged role in the shooting. This brings the total number of people charged in this case to six, with a combined total of 128 criminal charges laid against the group so far.
The shooting took place on September 24, 2025, near the intersection of South Service Road and Kelson Road North. The victim survived the shooting with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Before this latest arrest, five other individuals were taken into custody on October 17, 2025. Those arrests happened after officers searched a home on Clyde Street in Hamilton and found several guns and drugs.
The six people currently facing charges in the investigation include Bellaluddin Shahabuddin, Jawad Rabbani, Shamaree Salmon, Samantha Mcphee, Hannah Baillie, and Shakem Keane-Dawes. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the event.
