The Guelph Black Heritage Society is hosting an evening of food and music on March 21, 2026, to bring residents together in Guelph, Ontario. The Culture, Cuisine & Connections event aims to help people in the community connect through shared cultural celebrations.
The gathering will feature cultural games, music, and food for attendees to enjoy. Local vendors will also be at the event to showcase their products and services to the public.
The event is being held at Heritage Hall, a historic building that was originally the British Methodist Episcopal Church. The church was built in 1880 by formerly enslaved people and their families who moved to the area.
The society was formed as a non-profit group in 2011 to buy and look after the building. Today, the organization uses the space to preserve local history and host programs that celebrate the culture of the community.
