The Guelph Community Health Centre has released its programming calendar for May 2026, offering residents a look at the health, wellness, and community support services available throughout the month.
The updated calendar is now available as a downloadable PDF on the organization’s website. The centre, which has served the Guelph and Wellington area since 1988, provides programming designed to support equity-deserving groups, including newcomers, those with low income, individuals living with disabilities or mental health and addiction challenges, and members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
Residents can participate in a wide range of activities across four local sites: the Downtown location at 176 Wyndham St. N, the Shelldale site at 20 Shelldale Cres., Hive Health Services at 77 Westmount Rd. Unit 110, and the EarlyON and Family Supports centre at 435 Stone Rd. W (Stone Road Mall).
The May lineup includes the Shower Program, social gatherings at the Downtown and Shelldale locations, mindfulness groups, and cultural dance classes like Global Groove. The centre is also hosting cooking workshops, Zumba and Circl Mobility fitness sessions, badminton, and language conversation groups. Additionally, specialized services such as the Pregnancy to Parenting program, peer support for chest and breastfeeding, and a drop-in group for trans and gender-diverse individuals are featured.
These services operate under the provincial model for Community Health Centres, which are non-profit agencies funded by the Ministry of Health. This spring, the organization continues to manage its transition following changes to provincial legislation that led to the closure of its former consumption and treatment services in March 2025. The site now operates under a Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment Hub model, which currently provides primary care, peer support, and an identification card clinic, though withdrawal management beds are not yet available.
