The Guelph Public Library is hosting more than 40 free or low-cost events for families in Guelph, Ontario, from March 16 to March 22, 2026. This programming aligns with the school break for the Upper Grand District School Board and Wellington Catholic District School Board to provide children with educational activities during the day.
Families can attend high-energy shows featuring local favorites like musician Erick Traplin and Dan the Nature Man. Other highlights include nature workshops, science sessions with Mad Science presenting their Spin, Pop, Boom show, and an Oz-themed escape room.
Several popular events like Birdwatching for Beginners and Sweet Treat From the Forest! have already reached capacity as of March 3, 2026. Residents are encouraged to check the library event listings to register for remaining spots or join waitlists for full sessions.
This is expected to be one of the final seasonal programs at the current downtown library on Norfolk Street. The new central library at 55 Baker Street is on track to open in late 2026, according to the Friends of the Guelph Public Library.
