The Guelph Police Service is inviting residents to its annual Family Fun Day on Saturday, May 9, 2026. The free event will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at police headquarters, located at 15 Wyndham St. S. in Guelph, Ontario.
Held in celebration of National Police Week, the event offers an opportunity for families to meet local officers and learn more about community safety. The Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police and the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police established the annual week of recognition in 1970 to help police services connect with the communities they serve.
Attendees can participate in a variety of activities, including face painting and a cruiser check-out. The day will also feature information displays and demonstrations from the police tactical team and the K9 unit. This unit includes Constable Moulton and the department’s service dog, PSD Titan, who have been working together since August 2020.
Due to ongoing construction on Wyndham St. S., officials are encouraging visitors to access the headquarters from Gordon Street. This annual tradition remains a key part of the service’s efforts to build community relationships alongside its other initiatives, such as the holiday program that has raised over $211,000 to support local families.
