The Hanover Fair is back for its 162nd year, running from August 7 to 9, 2026 at the Hanover Raceway Fairgrounds on 5th Street in Hanover, Ontario. The opening day will also feature the return of Cornfest, a popular community tradition run by the Rotary Club of Hanover.
The three-day fair is organized by the Hanover, Bentinck & Brant Agricultural Society, an organization that has been putting on the event since 1864. Visitors can expect agricultural exhibits, entertainment, and local food vendors throughout the weekend at 265 5th Street.
Cornfest takes place on Friday, August 7 under the Grandstand at the Raceway. Live music starts at 6:00 p.m. with Blake Wilson, followed by Skeleton Crew from 8:00 to 11:30 p.m. A dinner featuring roast beef or pork sausage on a bun, salads, and fresh corn on the cob will be served from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Tickets for Cornfest cost $35 for adults and $15 for children 14 and under. They are available at Tenth Street Wealth Management, Foodland Hanover, Holst Office Supplies, any Rotary member, or by e-transfer. The Rotary Club of Hanover, which has served the community since 1939, runs the event as a major annual fundraiser.
In addition to the fair, the Eat Well Farmers’ Market continues every Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Heritage Square. The market runs through September 26, 2026.
