The Canadian Tire Splash Pad at Hanover Town Park is back open for the summer season as of July 8, 2026, giving families a free way to beat the heat. The Town of Hanover announced the reopening on social media, inviting residents and visitors to stop by, cool off, and enjoy the sunny weather.
Located at 780 7th Avenue, the splash pad is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., weather permitting. Admission is free for everyone. The facility first opened on Canada Day 2025, but this is its second full summer of operation.
The underwater-themed splash pad spans roughly 275 square metres and includes dumping buckets, water spray creatures, and in-ground fountain sprays. There are also covered shade areas, benches, picnic tables, and accessible washrooms on site.
The Town is reminding users to follow the posted rules. Children under 10 must have adult supervision, and everyone must leave the area during lightning or thunder. Aggressive play and glass containers are not allowed.
The splash pad is part of the larger Hanover Town Park, which sits next to the Saugeen River and features a canoe launch, fishing spots, a picnic pavilion, disc golf, playgrounds, a skatepark, a campground, and an 11-kilometre trail system.
