Families in Hanover, Ontario, are invited to celebrate the holiday season at the annual Easter Egg Hunt hosted by the Rotary Club of Hanover. The event will take place on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Heritage Square, located at 358 10th Street, and will run from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
The hunt is open to children between the ages of 1 and 10. The egg hunt itself will begin promptly at 11:00 AM, giving children the chance to collect candy. Beyond the hunt, the morning will feature several activities, including a visit from the Easter Bunny, face painting, and an opportunity to visit a petting zoo provided by Andre’s Alpacas.
While the event is free for families, organizers will have hot dogs available for participants by donation. Attendees can also enjoy hot cider, and the club will be distributing free swim passes while supplies last. The location, Heritage Square, is situated directly across from the Hanover Civic Centre.
This year’s celebration will also highlight ShelterBox, an international initiative supported by the club that provides essential supplies and emergency shelter to families rebuilding after disasters. Visitors will have the opportunity to view a family tent and shelter kit firsthand to learn more about the project.
The Rotary Club of Hanover has been serving the community for over 85 years. For those interested in learning more about the organization, the club holds meetings on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at the Masonic Lodge.
