The Town of High Level is looking to fill four permanent positions across administration, finance, emergency services, and public works, with roles posted on its official website as open until filled.
The available jobs include a Community Peace Officer, Director of Finance, Executive Assistant to the Chief Administrative Officer and Council, and a Facilities Maintenance Technician. High Level, located in northwestern Alberta about 733 kilometres north of Edmonton, serves a regional trading area of roughly 20,000 people. The municipality’s economy is anchored by forestry, oil and gas, and agriculture, and the community has one of the youngest populations in the province, with an average age of 36.4 years.
The hiring comes after the town approved a 2026 budget that reduced municipal taxes by 3.8 percent, a move council said would save the average property owner about $18 per month. Mayor Josh Lambert and the six-member council continue to focus on maintaining service levels while managing costs.
Jena Clarke is currently serving as the Acting Chief Administrative Officer for the town. Job seekers can find full position details and application instructions through the town’s official website.
