Lethbridge Police are asking for the public’s help after a shooting at a home on the city’s north side on the morning of August 12, 2026. Officers were called to the 1700 block of 6 Avenue North at about 6:45 a.m. after reports of shots fired. No one was hurt, and police say there is no sign other homes were targeted.
Investigators say evidence suggests a vehicle may have been involved. They have already spoken with neighbours and several witnesses, and they have collected CCTV footage from the area. However, police believe there may be more people with information about what happened.
Anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area around that time is asked to contact Lethbridge Police at 403-328-4444 and reference file 26015858. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
The shooting investigation comes as Lethbridge saw a 13% drop in its overall crime rate in 2025, with a nearly 4% increase in the clearance rate, according to data released by Statistics Canada in July 2026.
