Neepawa’s Farmery Estate Brewery is generating local buzz this week, posting two of the highest-paying skilled jobs in town just days before earning Bronze medals at a North American competition for its non-alcoholic beers.
As of June 16, the brewery listed a Plant Manager position paying $80,000 to $100,000 a year and a Brewer role offering $65,000 to $75,000 annually on Job Bank. Those salaries sit well above Neepawa’s average of roughly $64,721, where most jobs fall between $33,000 and $49,625.
Then on June 18, results from the 2026 North American Non-Alcoholic Beer & Beverage Cup were announced. Farmery took Bronze for its Zero-Tillage Non-Alcoholic Beer and Virgin Beer Caesar Dill Pickle among 109 entries from across the continent. Judging had taken place in Fort Collins, Colorado on May 16.
Brothers Chris and Lawrence Warwaruk founded the brewery after saving their family farm from bankruptcy in the late 1990s. They opened a Winnipeg restaurant, LuxSole, then returned to their roots, growing barley and hops on the home quarter. Farmery became Canada’s first estate brewery, earning a $200,000 Dragon’s Den investment in 2013 and Manitoba Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year honors in 2019. It has also been a designated Star Attraction in the province since 2018, drawing visitors for self-guided farm tours through the growing season.
