The Beautiful Plains Community Foundation in Neepawa is calling on residents and local businesses to participate in its upcoming 2026 fundraising initiatives. These events support the foundation’s goal of growing permanent endowment funds, which help provide ongoing grants to organizations throughout Neepawa and the surrounding municipalities.
Golfers and sponsors are currently being sought for the annual golf tournament. The event includes the JC Hard Hat Golf Tournament, an initiative established in 2018 by John Lavich to benefit the community. Sponsorship opportunities are available for those interested in supporting the day, including Platinum, Gold, Bronze, and Hole sponsorship levels.
In addition to the tournament, the foundation continues its participation in the Endow Manitoba 24-Hour Giving Challenge. Supported by the Winnipeg Foundation and the provincial government, this challenge will run through 2026 to help boost local charitable contributions through matching donations.
Since its inception in 1995, the foundation has grown to manage over $6.1 million in assets, distributing more than $3.4 million in grants to local charitable groups. In 2025 alone, the organization provided $284,312 in funding to projects across Neepawa, the RM of Rosedale, the Municipality of Glenella-Lansdowne, and the Langford area of the Municipality of North Cypress-Langford.
Residents interested in participating as golfers or donors, or those seeking more information, are encouraged to contact Executive Director Brenda Kryschuk at the foundation office located at 487 Walker Avenue in Neepawa. Inquiries can also be made by calling 204-476-2681 or by sending an email to [email protected].
