The Neepawa Titans wrapped up their 2026 season in late March, marking the end of a campaign that saw the team qualify for the Manitoba Junior Hockey League post-season for the third consecutive year — the first time this century the franchise has achieved three straight playoff berths.
The Neepawa Titans finished the regular season with a record of 28-28-1-1, securing fourth place in the West Division. While the team earned their spot in the playoffs, their post-season journey concluded in the quarterfinal round after the Virden Oil Capitals won the series 4-0. The franchise continues to seek its first playoff series win since 2007 and its first-ever MJHL championship (Turnbull Cup).
Looking toward the future, the organization announced in early May that head coach and general manager Ken Pearson has signed a multi-year contract extension. Pearson, a Neepawa native with 32 years of coaching experience, has led the team since 2019. Titans President Jamie Denbow noted the organization’s appreciation for Pearson’s ongoing commitment to the program and the community.
Elsewhere in the league, the Niverville Nighthawks reached a major milestone on May 17, 2026. The Nighthawks secured the national Junior A championship, known as the Centennial Cup, after defeating the Summerside Western Capitals 4-1 in the final game held in Summerside, Prince Edward Island.
The Neepawa Titans, originally founded in 1989 as the Neepawa Natives, operate as a Junior A hockey club in Manitoba. The team transitioned to its current name in June 2021.
