Niverville residents have a direct say in the future of local recreation this week, as Niverville Recreation & Wellness launches a feasibility study from September 8 to 13, 2026. People can vote on their top recreation facility and program priorities in person at the Community Resource & Recreation Centre (CRRC), 501 Centre Street, daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., or complete a digital survey online until September 18.
The feedback will help shape how community spaces and services are planned as Niverville continues to grow. The town added about 300 to 400 new residents each year and is Manitoba’s fastest-growing community, according to census data. The CRRC, which opened July 1, 2021, as a $19.5 million facility, has already expanded its arena seating to accommodate the Niverville Nighthawks junior hockey team.
“We’re collecting your feedback in two ways to help shape the future of recreation facilities and services in our community,” said Niverville Recreation & Wellness in its announcement. “Join us at the CRRC 8AM-10PM September 8-13. Take our digital survey on recreation services, closing September 18!”
The study comes after Town Council’s 20-hour planning session in November 2025, where council set recreation subsidies for families and acknowledged the need for expanded recreation infrastructure. The Recreation Feasibility Study is a chance for every household to weigh in on what matters most, from more ice time to new programming or facility upgrades.
In-person voting is open to all residents at the CRRC from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily through September 13. The digital survey remains open until September 18.
