The Oshawa FireWolves are bringing their lacrosse skills to communities across Ontario this summer. The team announced its 2026 Summer Lacrosse Tour presented by Toe Drag Sportswear on May 27, giving local families and young players a chance to meet the pros and learn the game up close.
The tour runs from May 22 to August 9 and includes stops at box lacrosse games and tournaments at all levels. Fans can catch the FireWolves at local rinks like Iroquois Park Sports Centre, Delpark Centre, and Don Beer Arena, as well as venues in Cobourg, Peterborough, and across Ontario. Players and mascot Alphie will be on hand to meet fans and share their love for the sport.
Head Coach and General Manager Glenn Clark said the tour builds on a strong first year in Durham Region. Since moving to Oshawa from Albany in August 2025, the FireWolves have jumped into community life. The team took part in 56 events, reached more than 27,000 people, and introduced lacrosse to over 6,000 students at 32 local schools.
The tour also lines up with the Ontario Lacrosse Festival from July 31 to August 9 at Iroquois Park Sports Centre. As the world’s largest youth lacrosse event, it draws about 447 teams and 50,000 people. Being there lets the FireWolves connect directly with the next generation of players.
On the floor, the team has plenty to celebrate from its first season in Oshawa. Forward Alex Simmons had a career year with 109 points, while defenseman Nick Chaykowsky scored the franchise’s first goal. The season also featured a memorable win over the three-time defending champion Buffalo Bandits on Tucker Out Lymphoma Night. With the Summer Lacrosse Tour now underway, the FireWolves are keeping that momentum going and growing the game right in their own backyard.
