The Grey Sauble Conservation Authority has been actively monitoring watershed conditions throughout the spring. In a recent statement, the authority noted that the Sauble River system had already experienced high water levels, and residents should remain cautious of washouts near rivers, creeks, and culverts.
To help reduce the risk of property damage, the City of Owen Sound recommends that homeowners ensure their downspouts are extended at least two metres away from their foundations. Additionally, keeping local storm drains clear of debris can help water move away from roads and properties more effectively.
