The Owen Sound Police Service is looking for new team members at a regional job fair held at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound, Ontario, on March 24, 2026. From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, officers will meet with people interested in starting a career in law enforcement or those considering a change from another police department.
The department is currently hiring recruit police constables and experienced officers to join the local force. There are also ongoing needs for civilian staff, including roles within the Emergency Communications Centre to help manage local dispatch and emergency calls.
According to the command team led by Chief Craig Ambrose, the service maintains a year-round recruitment campaign to meet its staffing needs. Prospective applicants can attend information sessions during the fair to learn about the specific requirements for sworn police positions and what it is like to serve the mid-sized community.
Community Services Officer Special Constable Jason Cranny and other staff will be available at the event to answer questions about the application process. The outreach effort is part of a broader goal to attract candidates who want to work in both front-line policing and essential support roles.
