On March 2, 2026, registration for the summer co-op work term at Georgian College officially opened for students at the Owen Sound, Ontario campus. This annual process allows local students to secure paid work placements and earn academic credits during the upcoming summer months.
One hundred per cent of the college’s full-time programs include hands-on learning experiences, and about 80 per cent specifically offer formal work-integrated learning opportunities like co-ops or internships. At the Owen Sound location, students often find these roles in specialized fields such as nursing, skilled trades, and the Community Integration Through Co-operative Education program.
To help with the cost of getting to a job, students can access regional transit passes through a partnership with Grey County. For those who need to stay near the school during their work term, the campus also offers an on-campus residence that provides housing throughout the summer semester.
Students looking for help with their applications or finding local employers can visit the Owen Sound Campus Co-op Office in room A122. Staff are available to discuss specific deadlines and available jobs for each program to help students secure a spot before the summer term begins in May.
