Residents of Pembroke can expect a shift toward unsettled and warmer weather this week, as Environment Canada forecasts a series of rainy days following a clear start to the weekend.
While Saturday began with clear skies and cool temperatures near 1°C, the weather pattern is changing quickly. Sunday, April 12, will bring snow mixed with rain in the early afternoon, which is expected to change into steady rain by the late afternoon, with a high of 6°C.
Cloudy skies and a 40 percent chance of showers are in the forecast for Monday, April 13, alongside a significant jump in temperature to 16°C. The mid-week period will be notably wet, with a 60 percent chance of rain predicted from Tuesday night through Thursday. Despite the rain, temperatures will remain mild, reaching highs between 15°C and 16°C.
There are currently no active weather alerts in effect for Pembroke. Looking further ahead, long-range forecasts suggest a trend of warmer temperatures across Eastern Ontario through June. Residents in Renfrew County and the broader Ottawa Valley may also see higher than normal precipitation levels for the remainder of April.
