A 91-year-old person using a mobility scooter was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle at a busy intersection in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, on March 9, 2026. The incident happened at approximately 3 p.m. at the corner of 119 Avenue and 228 Street, located in the city’s downtown core.
According to the Ridge Meadows RCMP, the senior was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The driver of the vehicle involved in the collision stayed at the scene and is currently cooperating with investigators.
