The Kennebecasis Valley Minor Hockey Association has extended the deadline to nominate coaches and volunteers for its annual awards to April 1, 2026, in Quispamsis, New Brunswick. This change gives families more time to recognize the people who help run the local hockey program, which includes more than 60 teams. The association, which is one of the largest in the province, was previously named the provincial association of the year for its work in the community.
The awards ceremony is set for April 21, 2026, starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Qplex. The event will take place in the Kennebecasis River Room, which can hold up to 265 people. This room is the largest meeting space in the building and is used for various community events and meetings throughout the year.
Parents and guardians can nominate volunteers for several different awards using an online form or by sending a document by email. Because the association is run almost entirely by volunteers, these awards are meant to highlight the hard work of those who make the hockey season possible for local children. The Quispamsis community continues to grow, and the association supports players ranging from the youngest age groups up to high school levels.
