The Town of Raymond is hiring a seasonal parks and groundskeeping labourer to help maintain local parks, sports fields, and the municipal golf course during the fall season. The full-time temporary position was posted on August 25, 2026, and will remain open until filled, according to the Town of Raymond.
The job runs from late August through mid-October under the Community Services department. Duties include landscaping, cutting grass, weed control, irrigation repair, and preparing the Hell’s Creek Golf Course for winter by tarping and covering it. The worker will also help with event setup and takedown at facilities like Victoria Sports Park.
Applicants must have a Class 5 driver’s licence, be physically able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, and be available for evening and weekend shifts. Previous experience in parks, groundskeeping, landscaping, or First Aid certification is preferred.
Pay for the position is set by the CUPE Local 70 collective agreement, with hourly wages ranging from $15.00 to $16.50 depending on classification level. The job is 40 hours per week, weather permitting.
Raymond has experienced rapid growth, with a population of about 4,600 in 2025 and a five-year growth rate of 14.18 percent, among the highest in Alberta. That growth has increased demand for well-maintained public spaces, including the town’s sports park, aquatic centre, ice arena, and campground.
