Drivers travelling near Red Deer, Alberta, should expect minor delays on March 31 and April 1, 2026, as crews perform environmental cleanup work on the southbound Queen Elizabeth II Highway.
Work is set to take place approximately 2 kilometres north of the city between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM on both days. During these hours, crews will occupy the right-hand lane, and the speed limit in the area will be reduced to 80 km/h.
The maintenance is being managed by Mainroad Alberta Contracting LP, which oversees highway upkeep for the region.
